George holds a B.S. and M.A. in Education from Ohio State University, as well as a Doctorate in Education Administration from the University of Akron. After dedicating 32 years as a teacher and administrator, he retired in 2003. He and his wife, Margaret Ann, enjoy summers in his hometown of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and spend their winters in sunny Zephyrhills, Florida. As an accomplished author, he has written five books, including two co-authored with Lynnette Wheeler, and is an advocate for author support, often participating in local writers' events and writing workshops.

Lynnette received a Bachelor's degree and Master's of Science degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Western Washington University. She worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for many years before retiring in 2016. As an author who provides support to local writers, she has written five books, two of which she co-authored with George McGuire. Additionally, Lynnette has been involved in writing workshops to help emerging authors develop their skills.

Writing communities are the perfect place for local writers to find answers to their writing questions and to engage in discussions about the writing life with others who truly understand the journey. Our members offer author support and write in various forms, including: All Genres of Fiction, Nonfiction, Children’s Literature, Poetry, Memoir, Screenwriting, and Journalism. Additionally, we host writing workshops to help you hone your craft.
